The Department of Photography, BITS Pilani KK Birla Goa Campus, presents you the 13th edition of our Annual Photography Exhibition and competition - Pixels '26, on the occasion of World Photography Day.

Themes for Pixels 2026

Theme Vultus
Vultus

"Vultus" encourages you to explore raw emotion revealed through the expressions of a face. From the weathered wisdom and unbridled joy of a human subject to the piercing, instinctual gaze of any living being, each frame should tell an intimate story through profound and expressive portraiture.

Theme Kinesis
Kinesis

"Kinesis" invites you to immortalize the fleeting poetry of a world in flux. From the crisp suspension of mid-air action and wildlife in flight, to the kinetic blur of rushing urban transit, each frame should celebrate the sheer thrill of momentum; whether freezing a split second in time or painting with motion to bring speed vividly to life.

Theme Primal
Primal

"Primal" is where the wild reigns supreme. Celebrate the beauty, power, and diversity of Earth's fauna through captivating images of animals, birds, reptiles, insects, and marine life. From fierce encounters to quiet moments of grace, reveal the untamed spirit of nature in its most authentic form.

Theme Pangea
Pangea

"Pangea" invites you to capture the world, in all its breathtaking scale. Encompasses landscapes, cityscapes, seascapes, skyscapes, and every vista that reveals the grandeur of our planet. From towering mountains and endless deserts to sprawling skylines, dramatic coastlines, and quiet horizons, celebrate the beauty, depth, and sheer magnitude of the places we inhabit.

Theme Candescence
Candescence

"Candescence" celebrates the spirit of light. Light is more than illumination; it shapes mood, depth, and wonder. Explore the interplay of brightness and shadow through golden hours, glowing cityscapes, dramatic silhouettes, reflections, celestial skies, festivals, flames, flares or any moment where light - subtle or spectacular, becomes the subject itself.
